Project Solution

Following U.S Department of Transportation directives, car makers must register tires DOT for every new cars commercialized in North American market. DOT is a string that was created by the referred department to identify the tire producer, model, production week and production year.

To fulfil U.S directives, car makers must ensure that tires DOT are registered and associated to the correspondent car serial number, to be possible a backward traceability. Knowing this need, S3D launch EST the challenge to project and implement one innovative system to read and register automatically tires DOT.
